Nancy MacKay | Founder of MacKay CEO Forums

Populating the world with inspiring leaders

Nancy MacKay is a founder, author, and recognized leader in CEO peer learning. She is the Founder and Executive Chair of MacKay CEO Forums, Canada’s largest CEO peer learning organization, supporting thousands of CEOs, presidents, and senior executives across the country.

Nancy founded MacKay CEO Forums in 2005 with a clear conviction. Leadership at the top can be isolating, and leaders make better decisions when they have access to trusted peers, skilled facilitation, and a confidential space to think out loud. That belief became the foundation of an organization dedicated to improving leadership effectiveness through structured peer learning.

Over the past two decades, Nancy has worked closely with CEOs and executive leaders across industries, helping them strengthen judgment, navigate complexity, and lead with greater confidence and clarity. Her work has shaped the peer learning model used at MacKay CEO Forums today and influenced how CEO forums are facilitated across Canada.

Nancy is the author of It’s Lonely at the Top, a book that explores the realities of leadership isolation and the power of peer connection. Drawing from real-world experience, the book makes a compelling case for why leaders need peers as much as they need strategy.

Nancy MacKay is widely respected for her practical insight, deep understanding of leadership dynamics, and long-standing commitment to helping leaders lead better, together.
